Aviptadil is a vasoactive pulmonary artery (VIP) analogue with strong vasodilatory effects. Aviptadil induces pulmonary vasodilation and inhibits vascular SMCs ischemia and ischemia. Aviptadil can be used in the study of pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), and respiratory ischemia caused by SARS-CoV-2.
